The first weekend in Paphos

 It was cold the first night in Paphos apartment and I slept poorly once more. But I was in a whole new environment and excited to go out and investigate. I had my new friends, although the beauty students had to work all weekend, so I explored the city togerher with the other art student. We walked around a lot! On saturday we walked for 5 hours, and 8 hours on sunday. We visited the old town of Paphos and it's market area which was filled with little shops, handcrafted items and souvenirs. On sunday we went to shopping centre and after that we walked around the coastline and the beach boulevard. We also found an artshop nearby our apartment. I bought some acrylic paint as well as presents for my friends and family. I bought a new blanket as well and now I don't have to freeze at night! On the beach I had the most delicious icecream and took lots of pictures. Today we had our first formal workday in the studio, and I spent it by making sketches. Great start for this trip afterall!🩷

Ensimmäinen yö oli kylmä ja nukuin huonosti jälleen kerran, mutta siitä huolimatta lähdin heti innolla tutkimaan uutta ympäristöäni. Uusista ystävistäni kauneudenhoitoalan opiskelijat tekivät töitä koko viikonlopun joten tutkin kaupunkia kahdestaan toisen kuvallisen ilmaisun opiskelijan kanssa. Kävelimme paljon ympäriinsä: lauantaina 5 tuntia, sunnuntaina 8! Lauantaina kävimme Pafoksen vanhassa kaupungissa ja sen torialueella jossa oli paljon pieniä kauppoja ja kojuja, täynnä matkamuistoja ja erilaisia käsitöitä. Sunnuntaina kävelimme ensin kauppakeskukselle ja sen jälkeen vaelsimme rantalinjaa pitkin. Löysimme myös taidetarvikeliikkeen asuntomme lähistöltä. Ostelin muutamia akryylimaaleja, tuliaisia läheisille ja myöskin viltin jotten enää jäätyile öisin! Söin myöskin jäätelöä ja otin paljon valokuvia. Tänään oli ensimmäinen virallinen työpäivämme studiolla ja se kului pitkälti luonnoksia tehden. Matkalla ollut aika mahtava alku tähän saakka🩷
